Thom Lion is a ramshackle pop music treasure emerging from the beachside suburbs of Adelaide. Raised by free spirited parents in the 90’s, Thom was allowed to decide his own middle name at the age of four. Having an obsession with lions, at a time when “The Lion King” and Elton John were burning bright in his life – Lion is what he chose. Recently named by The AU Review as one of SA’s Top 5 Emerging Artists, his music is fast becoming popular with radio around the nation. Thom Lion and his rebellious cohorts The Tamers have spent the last year between honing their live show – supporting the likes of The Rubens and The Waifs as well as writing new music. Their new EP, recorded in Melbourne with legendary producer John Castle (Vance Joy, Josh Pyke) is full of pounding pianos, synth hooks, and Thom’s un-mistakable voice. Set for release mid 2016.
