The Bitter Darlings are a five piece country rock outfit from Adelaide, South Australia. Their music speaks of the authentic Australian experience, the restlessness of suburbia and the clarity found at the end of a whiskey glass. Inspired by the iconic storytelling of Don Walker and David Ireland’s “The Glass Canoe” as well as the classic Americana of Townes Van Zandt and Waylon Jennings, The Bitter Darlings attempt to capture the small time victories and timesheet doldrums of the working class existence through their evocative live performances.
Newcomers to the local music scene, the Darlings have developed a devoted and loyal following in a short space of time – playing celebrated local establishments such as the Exeter, Metropolitan and Grace Emily Hotels. An upcoming EP planned for later in the year, with touring to the Eastern states of Australia can be expected from South Australia’s brand new purveyors of pub For booking details please rock soul.
