HANA BRENECKI

Hana Brenecki, an Adelaide singer, songwriter and below average guitarist for the band ‘Hana & Jessie-Lee’ , has been balancing on uneven ground since the split of her country band The Sloe Ruin last year.  Smashed guitars, brutal bouts of bronchitis and broken glass have not seen her waver, but instead embrace the turmoil.  Powerful husky tones and simple melodies drowning in Jamesons tell tales of travelling, living in the middle of nowhere, and attempted relationships with an alt-country soul landscape.  In September 2015 Hana packed up and ventured overseas playing a string of  intimate solo shows across Europe and the UK including 5 shows in France hosted by French label Beast Records.   On the back of releasing a two track single in April 2016, Hana went into the studio with Jessie-Lee and a full band to track 10 songs with producer Nick Finch (Graveyard Train),  and engineer Paul Maybury (Rocket Science) in Melbourne. The album is set for release in early 2017.
