Eddie Peters is from Thursday Island in the Torres Strait. An accomplished musician, dancer, multi-instrumentalist  and singer-songwriter, he has a long performance history of playing in many different idioms—with performances including original material through to traditional Torres Strait Islander music and dance.   His song Tamilla received an international award from the Toronto Exclusive Magazine, and he has twice been the recipient of the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry Award for Services to the Community.   Eddie also plays with The MERRg, and the multi-cultural band Afro Oz Musica.
