28 SEPT – 1 OCTOBER 2018

The Semaphore Music Festival has grown since the inaugural event in 2005, to four nights and three days of concerts presenting South Australian home grown, live music to a niche market of music lovers.  It is held annually over the Sept/October Long Weekend in Semaphore and surrounding pubs, clubs, and venues.

In 2018 the hub of the Semaphore Music Festival will be the historic Hart’s Mill Flour Shed, Mundy Street, Port Adelaide on Sunday 30 September and Monday 1 October.

Live Music concerts are curated from artist’s applications in the genres of Original, Alt. Country/Americana, Roots, Blues, Folk and Indie Rock. Local artists perform on the main stage with headlining interstate acts, and around various venues such as the Semaphore Workers Club; Lickerish Kitchen & Bar; The Fed; The Cumberland Hotel; Hades Hula House; Exeter Hotel; Mr V Music; Semaphore Port Adelaide RSL; The Palais Hotel and St Bedes Church Hall.

On Monday 1 October at Harts Mill Flour Shed the APRA/AMCOS ‘SEMAPHORE SONGS’ Project will present local composers who have written a song inspired by Semaphore/Port Adelaide’s rich history, character and folklore.

The SMF develops artists’ skills giving them performance opportunities and exposure to new audiences, as well as developing community arts and culture in the North Western Suburbs.

It is a boutique, family friendly event located 20 minutes from the Adelaide CBD in the historic beach suburbs of Semaphore and Port Adelaide, easily accessible via public transport with trains departing from the city every hour and buses departing from North Terrace.
