30 SEPTEMBER TO 3 OCTOBER, 2016
The Semaphore Music Festival is an annual boutique music and arts festival presenting South Australian home grown original music and Interstate guest acts, to a niche market of music lovers. Now in its 12th year the SMF is held over the October Long Weekend on the Semaphore Foreshore Reserve and surrounding pubs, clubs and venues.
The Semaphore Foreshore Reserve comes alive with craft beer and wine provided by local breweries, food trucks, the Makers Market, the Art Battle Spectacular, Train Sessions from Adelaide Station and carnival rides for the kids.
Located in the Adelaide metropolitan area, 20 minutes from the CBD in the beach suburb of Semaphore, the SMF is a community event accessible to everyone with trains departing from the city every hour.
Three days of concerts are presented on the Foreshore Reserve – Saturday, Sunday and Monday with specific themes.
Saturday’s concert showcases the next wave of emerging rock, pop and punk acts, presenting emerging and established SA indie acts.
Sunday’s concert presents Original Alt Country, Roots, Blues and Acoustic artists performing on the Foreshore Reserve Main Stage with interstate guest acts.
The SEMAPHORE SONGS Project will be presented on the Foreshore Reserve Main Stage over the weekend. It will feature SA singer/songwriters who have composed a song inspired by the area’s rich history, characters and folklore.
Monday’s Semaphore Songs will be a family friendly FREE community event which will encourage new audiences, as well as community and arts development in the Northern Suburbs.
Register to attend through the SMF website mailing list to receive up to date notifications and rewards. An entry fee will be charged on Saturday and Sunday with presales available through www.semaphoremusicfestival.com
This year the SMF16 will also host a Makers Market offering arts, craft and sculpture. Visual Artists and makers can apply through the website from 1 June.
The SMF is proudly sponsored by the South Australian Government through Arts South Australia and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.
