VONDA LAST

Vonda Last is a Wongai woman with over 25 years musical experience as a songwriter and performer. Central to her work in community music has been the revival of Indigenous languages, and maintenance through composition of contemporary music. Her work with the Ngarrindjeri Miminar Kaiklun choir, Kaurna Plains School, and the Gully Winds  Aboriginal Elders Choir has resulted in many important compositions including ‘For Love of Country’ which has been selected by the Public Primary School’s Music Festival as part its 2015 repertoire.  To put it simply, Vonda is a divine vocalist and lyrical wordsmith, whose music connects soulfully with her audiences.
