Sofia Torchia was raised in a medieval town in Tuscany with less than ten thousand people. At the age of 17 she picked up her first guitar and, inspired by the cultural adjustments and struggles moving halfway across the world to Adelaide, she began writing Beatle-esque pop songs. With an Honours Degree in music, Sofia’s song writing has emerged through arranging layered and intricate instrumentations. Her self-produced compositions balance electronica with r&b vocal inflections and rhythms.
